Program Overview & Target Audience:

The purpose of this activity is to provide new treatment options in neuro-oncology, including surgical techniques and intraoperative imaging that have improved patient outcomes. Sessions will feature the latest advances in state-of-the-art care for practicing physicians treating patients with brain tumors. Cutting-edge topics in precision medicine, including genetic, translational, and clinical research will also be featured. Each section will conclude with an audience interactive panel discussion with question and answer session.

This symposium is designed for neurosurgeons, neuro-oncologists, neurologists, radiologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, neuropsychologists, primary care physicians, oncology nurses, and other healthcare professionals involved in the treatment of patients with brain tumors.


Learning Objectives:

At the completion of this course, participants should be able to:

• Describe emerging concepts in the diagnosis and management of patients with brain tumors
• Discuss the risks and benefits of proton beam therapy and stereotactic intensity modulated radiation therapy for brain tumors
• Describe advances in genome sequencing
• Review clinical application of cancer gene panel sequencing
• Explain new vaccine therapies tailored to individual patients

In order to process refunds for conference withdrawals, we must receive cancellation in writing by May 2, 2016. No refunds will be issued thereafter.
