Overview & Target Audience:

This activity is designed to provide primary care physicians and other members of the healthcare team education in screening, diagnosis and treatment of the cancer patient. This activity will provide information on cancer screening, evaluation, treatment advances, and palliative care.

This activity has been designed for primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and other healthcare professionals involved in the primary care of patients.

Conference materials will be available on-line. Please bring your electronic device to view
presentations in real time.


Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Identify new advances in cancer treatment including: immunotherapy, precision surgery, and proton therapy
  • Describe the latest evidence for colorectal cancer screening
  • Identify the role of the PCP in palliative care of the cancer patient
